Moments of 2011 – Cora

As promised here are my photos of the year. Number one, YAY! I actually posted when I said I would! Let’s keep this going! Number two narrowing down to just this amount took forever. I loved every shoot I had, and dang! There were a lot! Thank you to all who supported me and my business, I truly could not have done it without any of you! I have made so many new friends and that is my favorite part about what I do!

Look for us in or on the nearest tree, river, railing, roof or sunroof hold on tight because 2012 is coming in fast!

This was such a fun way to present the place cards at Becky and Dan's wedding this summer.

Jenny, playing around with her new Husband after the ceremony.

Cait and Ted. Heritage Square.

Katie and Seth, it rained on their first date so they figured it was good luck.

Don't we all feel this way about bubbles?

Matt and Jen playing around at Union Station before their ceremony.

Who doesn't love a leaf fight during a portrait shoot?

Dawn, making an outhouse look sexy.

Erin had an awesome Maid of Honor, gotta love a woman who can wrangle a dress like that!

Dan and Amanda

Beautiful Flowers from Stems

An out, but this is the one image that sums up the shoot. Yes, everyone needs to find their inner parking cone.

Late night toasts

Derek and Kamise, we burned calories getting to their ceremony!

One day I'll be shooting her wedding.

Right before they were pronounced.

Oops.

Yes. I do make my brides J-walk during Bridals.

Engagement shoot. No joke. And yes, she got the goose.

Arriving at the reception.

Field Trip

A little Photobooth fun.

Not sure, I’m just the one who clicked the shutter. But we love them.

My best wishes for everyone in this upcoming year! Here is to pushing harder than you ever thought

and making it to the top with a little help from your team mates.

Happy New Year!

Memories of 2011 – Isaac

It has been a busy 2011 and I apologize that my blogging fell off the map mid-year. Part of it was due to scheduling and the majority of it was due to lack of Internet access as I did not get Internet at my house until the end of November.

But I am starting the year off right with a blog post! I must say that out of everything in my business, blogging is the most difficult thing to keep up with, even though I thoroughly enjoy writing about my clients and their stories. So here are a few of our favorite moments from the year. They may not be the “best photo,” but they are those that stood out in our heads when trying to simmer down the thousands of photos to just a few fraction-of-a-seconds to sum up our year.

Here are a few of Isaac’s favorites from the year.

Stay tuned for my photos of the year in the next few days!

I guess you had to be there …

Today Sarah and Chris are celebrating their one-year anniversary!

These two are so adorable. Just a wonderful couple that really support one another. I really enjoy Facebook as a business owner because I am able to keep in contact with my clients from the past and its always great to hear how they are doing. These two are solid.

They got married at Meadow Creek in Pine. The day was so beautiful and the meadow was lush and green. The crew was great – Something about dollar bills and Vegas (I still don’t know what exactly that was about and I am ok with it) kept them entertained the whole day. Ok, I still see comments about Dollar bills on Facebook.

Congratulations to Chris and Sarah for the first year in your life-long journey keep on dancing!!!

And the Thunder Rolled

Tara and Paul recently had their one year wedding anniversary! Congratulations to these two! Now. Their wedding was quite memorable as it started out like any June day in Colorado. It was beautiful and sunny. They had their wedding at the Crystal Rose venue in Highlands Ranch. We went outside to have group photos before hand and everything was going just to plan. Paul and his boy’s were having a blast jumping over fences, and the girls were all chatting in the dressing room.

5 minutes before the ceremony was going to start (Bridal party was getting lined up to go out side) and a HUGE – I’m talking HUGE clap of thunder erupts overhead. And then the power went out. (Like I said, typical June day in Colorado). But the generators kicked in and the staff at the Crystal Rose did a speedy turn-around and in less than 10 minutes we were ready for the ceremony – now inside. It was great, and as always, the storm passed and we were able to do more portraits outside right after the ceremony, with the beautiful “after-the-rain light.”

The night continued with an awesome  slide show of embarrassing photos, cake cutting, and some crazy dancing. What a fun time that night was! Truly an unforgettable event! Congrats you two on a year of marriage!

Rain is good luck and great lighting!

Adam and Lily had a romantic, rainy day in Evergreen for their wedding. These two are too much fun! – Seriously, when you get the whole Bridal Party out on a deck in the rain running in circles, how can you not love them?

I met these two back in March when we had their engagement session. And from the second we started shooting, I could hardly wait for their big day. These two are so comfortable together. They have amazing chemistry between them and I am so excited I got to capture that! The rain did not dampen their spirits at all, if anything, it only added to their personalities.

Congratulations you two on your marriage!

One Year of adventure!

A year ago I was one lucky photographer and friend who got to document the wedding of Chris and Adriana. That was a fun, but slightly chilly day in Pueblo. We might have frozen the bridal party during the group photos … maybe. 😉

Happy Anniversary to Chris and Adriana!

So excited to be married!

Boys walking like the Beatles on the way to the ceremony from the hotel.

Adriana’s sister watching her closely. She was one happy flower girl!

Opening prayer for the ceremony.

Taking some down time on the couch … In the bathroom.

Can you say an awesome bridal party? Too much fun was had … even though they were freezing!

This is still the best Father-Daughter dance I’ve seen. Coordinated and everything!

Happy Anniversary to you two Beautiful people. Thank you for letting me capture these moments.

Chris and Adriana are also now the proud parents of little Leila. They have such a beautiful family and I’m so happy I’ve been able to follow them a long over this last year.

And one from Adriana’s Maternity Shoot. Had to include Little Leila too!

Every Girls Dream

Ok, it might not be every girls dream. But when I was young, that was what I wanted to be.

Who wouldn’t want to be a flower girl? You a lone carry the responsiblity of being the last person to walk down the aisle before the bride. Letting the petals float down to the isle so that it becomes a beautiful runway that the bride glides down to her groom.

You also get to wear cute dresses.

Lily was an awesome flower girl. Unlike the majority of the little attendants Lily was the life of the party – till the DJ broke down. There were no “sleeping chair photos” from this girl.  She kept the dance floor grooving!

Heather + David = Luv

Heather + David = One spectacular day and a beautiful happily ever after.

I’ve known Heather for years. I first met her at Metro in the news room (where a ton of my friendships began). She moved on and I filled her shoes as assistant editor. Now, I wish I could describe Heather to you, but there is no word that sums her up easily. She is Bubbly, spaztic (in the nicest way possible), crazy, fun, loving and will just make you smile with one giggle. Heather and I have been hanging out a lot lately. She has decided to join my team as one of my regular shooters for my biz. So I was more than excited to tag team along with Jenn LeBlanc to shoot Heather and David’s wedding.

I love David too. They are the perfect pair. Ha! Just talking about them makes me want to drive to their house and give them a huge hug! – ok, back to David. He is an awesome guy, who is a little more reserved than Heather, which probably does her tons of good 🙂

Now, since Heather is a photographer, Jenn and I have vowed only to give a few sneak peaks from their wedding – in attempt that Heather will be able to remember her wedding as she saw it and not through Jenn and I’s eyes. (Fotogs tend to remember images very easy and memories begin to fade). But this whole arrangement has been so much harder for Jenn and I than Heather I think! I had the hardest time narrowing down her images to only three.

So here they are. I will put more up on my site as soon as Heather and David get them – cuz their wedding was so fun – We crashed Room&Board of Cherry Creek and went to one of the snazzyest (yes that is a word now) Alley’s I’ve ever seen! So tune back in a few weeks!!!

Congratulations to David and Heather! We love you so much!!!!!

The Studly Groom

The blushing bride

Are we having fun? O I think so!!!

Before their introduction as Hubby and Wife

Tara and Paul

I am so excited for this weekend! Tara and Paul are getting married a week from today. It is going to be really fun wedding, I can already tell with the couple. I am also excited because I get to have Heather Longway shoot with me. (I shot her engagements in March). It should be a great day. Since I’ve been behind on my posting, I thought this would be a good time to get Paul and Tara’s photos up from their engagement that we had at the beginning of the month.

Looking forward to next weekend!
